Frequently Asked Questions

Questions church planters ask before they commit

Church Plant Questions

Is FaithSuite built for brand-new churches with no staff?

+

Yes. It's designed for small teams doing everything. You start with a simple setup, then your people generate the daily life: prayer requests, testimonies, questions, needs. You don't need a tech person, a social media volunteer, or a dedicated admin.

What's the easiest "week 1" setup you recommend for a plant?

+

Launch Team group, Prayer Wall, New Here group, Weekly Gatherings, and a simple Giving fund. That's enough to keep momentum without admin burden. You can turn on more features as you grow.

Can we include our sending church and long-distance supporters?

+

Yes. Supporters can join, receive updates, pray, and give from anywhere.

Do we need a website or a custom domain to start?

+

No. You get a free branded site at yourchurch.linkedbyfaith.org. Connect your own custom domain later on the Growth plan whenever you're ready.

Can we turn features off?

+

Yes. If something doesn't fit your context, turn it off. Marketplace, courses, certain community features — keep it simple early and expand when it makes sense. Your church admin controls exactly what's visible.

How fast can we actually be live?

+

If you use the instant launch option, your site is live in minutes with your church name, a template, and sample content. If you book a guided setup call, most churches are up and inviting people the same day.

Platform + Features

Is this hard to use for non-technical people?

+

No. If you can post on Facebook, you can run your FaithSuite community. People of all ages pick it up quickly. The guided walkthrough assumes zero tech experience.

Do I need to download an app?

+

No. FaithSuite works like a native app without needing an app store. Your members pin it to their homescreen and get your branding, your icon, and push notifications. No downloads, no updates to manage, no waiting for app store approvals. Works on every phone, tablet, and computer. One link. One tap.

Can users access it on the web?

+

Yes. Just like Facebook, your members can access your platform on the web from their laptops, tablets, and desktops. Your platform is fully responsive and works beautifully on every screen size.

We've been on Facebook and Instagram for a while. Can we import our data?

+

Yes. Import your church's posts, photos, videos, and content to populate your new platform from day one. Encourage your members to do the same — share their favorite moments, worship clips, and community memories. It's the fastest way to make your new home feel alive and get engagement rolling from the start.

What about our existing Facebook group?

+

Keep it running while you transition. Most churches run both in parallel for a few weeks, then naturally shift as members realize everything is easier in one place.

What payment providers do you support?

+

Use your preferred payment gateway. Stripe and PayPal are available, and additional gateways can be supported depending on your setup. No commissions. No platform fees. Every dollar goes to your church.

Pricing + Plans

Is it really free?

+

Yes. The Community plan is free for churches under 100 members. It's not a trial. It's not a stripped-down demo. It's a real product with community feed, groups, prayer wall, events, and giving.

Can I start free and upgrade later?

+

Yes. Everything you build on the free plan carries over. No starting over. No lost data. No lost content.

Do my members pay anything?

+

No. Members always join free. You're the only one who pays, and only if you choose to upgrade.

Do you take a percentage of donations or transactions?

+

Never. Zero commissions. Zero platform fees on giving. We don't touch your generosity. Use your preferred payment gateway, or use Stripe and PayPal which are built in. Every dollar stays yours.

Can I use my own domain?

+

Yes, on the Growth plan. You can update a couple DNS settings at your domain provider and we'll walk you through it step by step. Or if you'd rather not touch it, we can handle the setup for you. Your free yourchurch.linkedbyfaith.org subdomain works great until you're ready.

Security + Data

Who owns the data?

+

You do. Export anytime. Leave anytime. No lock-in. Your member data, content, and history belong to your church.

How do you handle moderation and safety?

+

Multiple layers. Profanity and bullying language are automatically redacted before anyone sees them. Our AI monitors posts in real time and can flag anything that needs a human eye. You choose the level of control: let the AI handle it quietly, require manual approval before posts go live, or assign trusted volunteers as moderators with full permissions to remove content, ban users, or escalate issues. You can also lock down sign-ups entirely so only people with a personal invite can join. Your community, your rules.

Do you sell member data?

+

Never. No ads. No data mining. No third-party tracking. Your community is not a product.

Can members control their own privacy?

+

Yes. Members choose what they share and who sees it. Sensitive prayer requests can be private or group-only. Profile visibility is configurable.
